Fearless Formosa is legit with a Kokatat sponsorship!

We are honored to announce that Kokatat is contributing to our expedition in Taiwan! Kokatat sponsors some of the biggest names and many of the burliest expeditions in paddlesports. Laura and I wear and love their technical paddling apparel and are flattered they want to be a part of Fearless Formosa.

In 1971, Steve O’Meara and his then-business partner Chuck Kennedy began manufacturing bivy sacks and down jackets. At the encouragement of some buddies, O’Meara developed the first paddling jacket and the rest is history. Forty-six years later, Kokatat is still at forefront of paddling apparel producing high-end life vests, dry wear, insulation, and sun protection.

Laura and I met up this weekend to work on our trip and couldn't resist trying on our new gear! Our paddling kit will include:

  • Maximus Centurion PFDs to keep us afloat.
  • Gore-tex Full Zip Jackets to keep us dry on land and at sea.
  • SunCore Long Sleeve Shirts and Paddling Capris for lifestyling around Taiwan.

Laura and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kokatat. For more information on their product line, please visit: www.kokatat.com. When we return, expect a comprehensive review of how our kit handles on the water and during morning yoga!
